Empowering Kids: Education, Meals, and Clothing for a Better Future
Situation of Underprivileged children in India.
India has one of the largest young populations in the world. Millions among these are unfortunately living in poverty. These children are the future of our country and if India is to achieve the dream of #ViksitBharat2047, it will have to provide resources for these populations so that they can achieve their dreams. For this reason, our NGO i.e. Sadguru Foundation has started a number of initiatives to bring about a positive change in the lives of these children. Below are some of these initiatives.
Supporting Education
Education is one of the most important tools which help alleviate poverty on a large scale. In a country like India where there is already a quality education gap between urban and rural areas, education can play a vital role. Therefore, our NGO has been conducting education campaigns where we provide the most essential items such as stationeries, school bags etc to the underprivileged children. These drives ensure that the children from the most background areas receive necessary tools for education.
Providing Healthy Meals
Another challenge that poverty creates for the children is hunger. Due to non availability of nutritious food and diet during the most essential growth years for children, it can affect their overall development. Therefore, our volunteers make sure healthy meals are provided to the remotest part of the country to these children. This includes nutritious meals to make sure they are supplemented with proper food.
Ensuring Proper Clothing
Clothing is essential for children as it not only provides protection from different weathers but also acts as a confidence booster for them. Our social organization ensures that underprivileged children receive school uniforms, raincoats, and umbrellas for continuity of their education.
